No Joke Smoke BBQ was founded by husband and wife team Ryan and Sharon Nahas in January 2015. Ryan, our Chef and Chief Sauce Imagineer, has over 20 years in the food and beverage world not only in the back of the house but also in the front of the house. Sharon, our Chief Executive Imagineer and paper shuffler, has a background in restaurant management and has been known to whip up a meal or two. They are located in Swansea, MA where they both grew up and have local ties.

Where do you make your sauce? Do you make it in your home kitchen/garage/basement?
Barbecue sauce is not one of those food items that can be made from home. We make each batch of No Joke Smoke Sauce in a certified commercial kitchen at the Dartmouth Grange in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. It is a shared kitchen for the use of small businesses like ours.
How long will my jar of sauce last after opened?
If you can keep away from using it all the first time you cook with it, your jar of No Joke Smoke Sauce will last for up to one year in the refrigerator, and it will taste just as amazing as it did the first day you opened it!
What is the best way to store my jars?
Your jars of No Joke Smoke are pantry safe, but once opened should be kept in the refrigerator. We also advise cleaning the lip of the lid of any sauce so that the lid doesn't get sticky!
Do you have any favorite recipes?
We do! Lots of them ... Click here. You can usually substitute whichever flavor of No Joke Smoke sauce you bought with any of our recipes, as they are created to be flexible.
Can we buy your sauce in stores?
Not yet. We are hoping to be in stores by mid- 2017. In the interim, you can buy No Joke Smoke at our online store or always come by and visit us at one of the many local Farmers' Markets we attend weekly. We'd love to have you sample our sauces and exchange a recipe or two.
Is your sauce vegetarian? Vegan? Gluten free?
Yes! All of our No Joke Smoke sauces are vegetarian and vegan, although they have not yet been certified. Most of our sauces are gluten free. Our year-round signature sauce, Saweet Heat, is gluten free and all of our seasonal sauces are clearly marked, so you will always know which ones are gluten-free. Please keep in mind that, although we are very diligent in our preparation, the Dartmouth Grange is not a certified gluten- free kitchen.

Is there a minimum order?
Yes, we have a 2 jar minimum, but are happy to ship you more than that!
